In order to keep its operation afloat, Northcape Towing & Marine Service (NTMS), sole operator of TowBoatU.S. Northcape (based in Sesuit Harbor, Cape Cod Bay) has terminated its contract with BoatU.S. as an affiliated towing company.

All current BoatU.S. members should continue and/or renew their membership because a replacement TowBoatU.S. tower will soon be designated. (It is still the best deal out there) Calls for assistance should continue to be made to the BoatU.S. 24 hour Dispatch Center (800-391-4869).

Calls for towing, assistance and groundings may still be directed to the familiar, reliable local emergency number 508-776-5712 and your calls will be forwarded immediately and appropriately. Additionally, NTMS personnel will still maintain a constant watch on Channel 16, VHF-FM and will ensure that ALL disabled boats are responded to in a timely manner.

Pending designation of a replacement TowBoatU.S. tower, NTMS, who has served you reliably for the last 11 years from Sesuit Harbor, will tow you, bring fuel, jumpstart you or otherwise assist you in accordance with standard BoatU.S. policy whereby they will reimburse you 100% for any costs incurred to tow or assist you when an authorized TowBoatU.S.tower is unavailable.

The economy is causing all of us to make hard choices. NTMS has coordinated with BoatU.S. to ensure that BoatU.S. members do not have to suffer any loss of service because of our choice.
